As a former Marine, it goes without saying that the Corps’ values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment will influence everything I do. As a professional, I value relationships and communication.
Relationships require a lawyer that can do two things: first, communicate to gain a solid understanding of the client’s interests; and second, successfully communicate, advocate for, and defend those interest throughout the life of the client’s deal or dispute. Relationships and communication are foundational to my practice and help me provide effective and valuable results.
A Veteran And Washington Native
I was raised in Centralia, WA and attended Washington State University where I earned a degree in economics. After graduating, I served as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps, deploying in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with Golf Company, 2d Battalion, 3d Marine Regiment. I enjoy reading for pleasure, though I rarely do it enough, WSU football and spending time with family and friends. The skills I learned as a Marine are critical to my professional work now: tactical and strategic thinking, clear communication, and commitment to mission accomplishment.
Of Counsel, Wheat Legal PLLC—I joined Wheat Legal as Of Counsel because I knew that some clients will inevitably need to have their matter resolved at trial. Jeffery Wheat is a fighter and a thinker.
